That's the Matterhorn. They've got wires tied to it that they 'fly' Tinkerbell across the sky during the evening fireworks. Pretty cool to see

nice pics . havent been in ages. too many kids and not enough places to drink in the park. a friend's dad had membership to Club 333 (maybe it was a company perk. i dunno) which used to be the only place in the park you could buy alcohol. i dont know if its still that way or not. having lived in that area, when they started developing the snot out of the - what is now - the whole downtown disney/disneyland/CA adventure, traffic was absolutely obscene. kinda ruled it out of my commute scheme. i hear its nice. shame is, i can remember when it was just over $20 to get in as an adult. what is it to get in now?

They have a promotion going right now that we were able to get in where adults pay kid price if you buy 3 days, which ends up being just under $150 per person. I think the regular adult price is around $65/day. I was a little disappointed with California Adventure, as they had a LOT of construction going on while we were there. They had a pavilion up showing what everything will look like when it's done, so we'll be heading back after that (probably sometime late fall next year).
In the mean time, we're planning our Christmas trip to Disney World

what cam did you use some great shots.
Yeah, I think that the overall work is slated to be done by 2012, but we may head back there before then to do the Haunted Mansion while it's got the holiday overlay on it...
As far as the camera goes, I shot those with a sony A100, some with my 75-300mm lens, some with my 18-70mm lens.
technically, the colors are not very natural, the third picture is not very sharp, the one with the train needs more contrast.
artistically, they are superb.

They are HDR format photos which will skew the colors somewhat.

Yeah, the colors will be somewhat skewed from their original as they were processed in photomatix. They're a three exposure from one processed image, The third picture is a little less sharp than it should be due to the fact that it was taken from a moving train, and the train in the 6th picture had the sun in the background, which washed it out a little bit. My technical skill is still not quite where I want it to be, and I probably will be taking a photography class at the local college either this summer or fall. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile, so we'll see
