I'm curious I just purchased a HD camcorder with pinnacle 12.1 here are the system requirements

It says Intel® Core™2 Quad 2.66 GHz or higher required for 1920x1080 AVCHD editing I can't even find laptops with a core 2 quad am I missing something?
my current computer is no where near that and it shows playback is so choppy its ridiculous. My question is though what is the AMD equivilent of this?
