free iPod/mp4 batch converter ?

I'm looking for some FREE software that will batch convert a bunch of videos at once for my iPod. I wish I would have looked at supported video formats before I bought this thing. Ugh. My buddy's Zune plays AVI just fine.

Anywho... anyone know of a good one I can give a huge folder of videos and it'll change them all to .mp4 by morning?
