MTU for cable internet should be 1500, not 1496.

I already know that but my ISP limits the mtu. I know too it is rare with cable but it is confirm by tcpoptimizer largest mtu test

Just dont understand why i set all to 1496 and my analyser result show 1500 ???

You used VM ware when posting TCP Analyzer ?

Try log into modem/router and set MTU (MRU) 1500 or MSS 1460.

1. Go to Start and select Run.
2. Type in cmd into the box and click OK. The DOS prompt black box should pop-up.
3. After C:\> type ping http://www.yahoo.com -f -l 1472 and hit the Enter key.

If there is no fragmentation, your MTU is 1500 (=1472+28).
