i've been having this problems for the last couple of months. i've noticed that certain websites would load slow every time i would visit them for the first time in the browser. every time this happens i get a new DOS log in my router.

any ideas how to fix this?

flush out your temp files?

Use following programs to scan your comp:

Ccleaner
AVG Antispyware
Ad-aware 2007
Spybot Search & Destroy

Is it repeatable to those websites? Or when you say certain did you just mean occasionally?

i'm familiar with ad-ware but not the others, do i have to check out all of these programs?

i forgot to mention they are SYN Flood attacks. the attacks occur usually when i'm just navigating around a website and i notice it slow down the load times and goes back to normal in a few seconds, or i just get disconnected from the internet.

you got more problems than you seem to let on in the first post.. best to make sure your computer is clean of junk first then look outside the box.

So it is not certain websites [like say every time you visit usda.com] it is any website, just randomly?

i only have 1 peice of downloaded software called free download manager on my pc. anyone know if it isn't safe?

you got more problems than you seem to let on in the first post.. best to make sure your computer is clean of junk first then look outside the box.

i spent a few minutes going threw the sites i visit and trying to see if the count of SNY flood attacks would increase for each site. just loading 6 sites(engadget for example) i had a count of 108 SNY flood attacks in my log, i can visit other sites and have no attacks at all.

can't unless you tell us what it is.. but I suggest posting a hijackthis log

it's just a file download program which allows you to download multiple files at once or have a list of files ready to download.
