computer does not connect to internet with cable

As the title explained im not sure why when i connect my wired cable for internet... i still cannot access the internet. Is this some kind of hardware problem? What should i replace? Thanks

Can you give us ANYTHING more to try to help you?
Who is your ISP?
What does the other end of the cable to connect to?
Do you get an IP address? (Start, Run, ipconfig, copy and paste results)
What OS?
The more you give the easier it will be to get help. Just saying "my internet doesn't work, what should I replace" will get you nowhere.
