What make/model router? 36 rigs sharing a single connection....you mention it's s 4x port router....which makes me think it's a home grade router...which makes me say "you're going elephant hunting with a BB gun" because a home grade router can't handle that load.

I'd want a higher end router...even a good linux distro router like IPCop, running on at least a mid to upper range P3 with 384 or 512 megs. And have a 3rd switch....with both your main switches linked to it, any local LAN servers, as well as the router.

oh ya man, no doubt, a home grade router is buckling under all that pressure... yet you complain about being "kicked" off online games, have you maybe thought about your "ping" times???

some times as i understand it, an high (??) ping time will disconnect you from the server, or something similar to that. maybe research it for a little while.

maybe you should invest in a small server? but that wouldnt really help your router, so just buying a nice commercial router/switches would probably help the situation.

Also, how fast is your internet connection to your workstations? i'm guessing fiber optic or t1 or something along those lines. a regular 3megabit connection simply isnt going to support all that. but you already knew that i'm sure. :silly:

yeah, the server will boot a player because of preset on the server config. What pings are the players getting while connected to a server?

I agree with the other guys... get some better gear by the sounds of it... household stuff just wont work... it will hate you.

Wait all of the units at once are having their Ethernet controller disabled and then re-enabled? Thats pretty bizzare, do the users have limited or full ownership of the units that they are playing on? Usually some type of restrictions are placed so that the PC's cant have anything un-installed or installed. :wth:
