i don't know, i tried to run it this AM and got errors as well, i know this SMP deal doesn't like overclocking much, really show errors if there is a hint of instability, had the similar issues with the VM client on really big work units :(

maybe try reducing you CPU clock some ?

here is the error i got this AM........

Yup, deleted the entire fah folder, reinstalled, on the reinstall I left indicated memory alone and advmethods off, all good.

28 mins a frame. Your results?

i was getting errors this morning so i shut it down, this evening i deleted the work folder and the queue file and tried it again, getting about 26minutes per frame @ 2.50Ghz

one other thing, when i woke up this AM, i had a nice blue screen on this PC, not sure if it was the beta deal or what, so i am back to running 2 regular clients for now.

might try and clock my PC a bit lower and see what happens later.

ya run it for a few weeks and you will really like it, when i was using that VMware deal, i was getting about 7K -8K per week with all my PCs together, now back down to about 4K per week.

I am pretty excited about trying this but I am going to wait until after beta likely.

I have a dual quad core Xeon I just put the fah client(s) on and it would be nice to run fewer instances. I can only run FAH on this box about 12 hours a day but that is better than nothing.

I am getting 3 new core2 duo's here as well. Maybe I will try it out on my personal box before putting it on the other 2 (SMP that is since FAH is going on them all SMP or not :P) Maybe I will throw it on my X2 4400+ at home to try out as well.

Not too hot on this, you need to load .net 2.0 to run it.

.net 2.0 is fine, whats your beef with it? A bunch of good apps I wouldnt be able to run without it.

I'm just a little anti-MS at the moment. Last I heard, .net framework was supposed to be open source. Then I heard MS patented patented certain parts of it. How can it be open source if parts of it is restricted? My understanding could be wrong though.

I dunno, but I know without .net 2.0 I wouldnt be able to use paint.net, or Amro's programs, and now SMP fah :)

oh come on goobee, don't be a sissy, let's see what that quad core rig can do, of course ya need "the_snake" for a user name to make it count :D

anyways, good to see ya posting here again :)
