Shared Router

Post by lilac111 »

I have a shared wireless router which I am sharing with my tenants. Lately I saw IP address conflict on my comp. I have now found out the tenant was trying to use my IP address on his laptop and have also used my comp for accessing few restricted sites and have stolen few pieces of my identity like my password etc. My question is: will these sites know that all this info has gone from my computer and if there is any investigations, will I be held responsible? Can they trace my IP address and my info just by him logging from my comp to these sites? How much my info is safe here? Besides, is there any way to download free porxy server on my comp? Thanks

each network card built has a unique hardware address called a MAC address. the MAC info can be obtain via any network connection and yes, you can install a free proxy server...
