Google videos are usually just AVI videos. You can download the flash version and convert it back to AVI or even download the AVI directly (you can ascertain the URL to the AVI file). If you're in linux though, you can just hit the "download" button and it will serve you the AVI directly, without needing the google vid player. =)

i saw programs which downloads google videos in flv format - search google. then use a tool for flv to video conversion. this one is good: http://www.geovid.com/Flash_To_Video_Encoder
