Downlaod CPU-Z see what it says, Aida may not be fully compatible with dual cores, I know CPU-Z is, see what it tells you.

Aida32

Post by Dave NYC »

Greetings,

I have used AIDA32 many times on my other PC's. I have found the download link and I have winzip.

Here is my question, how do you download AIDA32 to my coputer. I get as far as winzip and I see all the files. But, what do I have to do to download the AIDA32 program so it works on your PC?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi Dave.

Some programs don't use an installer to install themselves. As with many other downloads the aida32 download comes zipped. You'll need to use winzip to extract the files to a folder. Then run (click) on the aida32.exe file in order to execute the program.

Thanks for the info....I will give it another try. Because I do have winzip and it gets downloaded to winzip with all these file names. I don't know what to click on in order to install aida. When I used winzip before I would just click double click on the top file and it would tell me "this will install whatever" weather it is a screen saver, etc;

Again, thank you.

as Norm already said, aida doesn't really install on the system, you just run it from a folder, so after you download it, unzip it to a folder and then open that folder and look for aida32.exe, run that to start the program.

for what it's worth it sees my 170 opteron dual core just fine, running version 3.40 here.
