chopper pwnage

Me and my 2 gunners from a recent scrim. Our gunners own...they do a great job especially Max. I just fly, they do most of the killin lol.

great video, that is some killer flying there, joystick or keyboard ?

I just got my Joystick and flying Jets is GREAT with this ... I'm having to totally relearn to fly a helo though , I have such stabalization issues ... Can't keep my throttle and pitch steady enough for any type of good shooting from the pilots position.




Any pointers ?

It's all about the throttle....the more speed the more manuevarable the helos are. Less throttle...more stable, good for the gunner and aiming. Set your shot up by getting into position first......then use your throttle to keep on target.

there really aren't too many pointers...just practice practice practice. I fly at lunch time by myself just to keep fresh.....one of the most challenging things to learn is the circle straffe of death. If you can get the movement down to circle straffe, you have to put the outermost portion of your HUD on the target.....where the horizontal and vertical axis meets on the left or right edge of the HUD.

Don't use the cross hairs....use the horizontal line....there is a break in the center and the cross hair will usually be below that. Put the target in between the lines and you should get more accurate with the rockets at full speed. When you slow down, that's when you can use the cross hair but you'll still see yourself overshooting your target. I shoot first and then adjust the pitch of the nose to compensate for this.

nice dude. How did you get that footage? was that a recorded demo that you then got the vide files from?
old CS demos were like that, you could playback the demo and then watch from any players POV/tird person view or as a roaming camera. Is taht how the BF2 demos work now?

It's a BF2 Battlerecorder Playback that was recorded with FRAPS.

Yep. I tested the APC toss first in single player. Works great in a pinch. Sometime if you just land on their rear they explode with minimal damage to yourself.

1 use battle launcher to record a camera file fore that demo
2 play back both the demo and the camera file (fraps it)
3 output the camera file and the demo file to an avi file and do with it what you want

But for a real movie....movie type movie, then yes, you are quite correct.
