I got a original 3com 905 that blew up on me a year ago. Supposedly all of the ethernet PCI cards do have a lifetime warranty.

Could never figure out where to send and if it would be worth it to bother :/ 3com actually does want bad units back to figure out where they failed.

I have 3Com works fine, but 2 other members one payed 6 dollars and the other 14 dollars
for cheaper ones that work just as well, try www.pricewatch.com and see what you like :)

Go to the 3com web site. There use to be a address there in support you can mail the nic to and they send you a new one back. This was a while back when I used it. So I don't know if it still there or not. You might even fined it in the orignal manel for the nic. If you still have it.
;)

If you still have the reciept from when you got it. I think it has a life time warrenty. I know mine dose right them and they will replace it. In the mean time go out and by a cheaper one till they replace it. If you don't either go with 3com or intel. They are about the best. But if you don't want to shell out alot of money . Their is linsky or d-link and netgear. which are very low in price. It's all in what you want to spend. Good Luck! ;)

Personally, I like Intel the best. You probably won't notice a difference in performance between a brand name, such as a 3Com, or a cheaper NIC, such as a Linky.
