my video card will be here in 20 minutes (my dad has is and is driving home...)

i currently have a 8500 in my box, and the card im putting in is a all in wonder 9800pro 128mb ddr2

should i completly uninstall my old card like i was upgrading the drivers? then swap cards, install driver from cd's? and boot, bios make sure i have 8x agp working then boot?

should i change any thing else in my bios? what is the agp memory thing?

Download latest driver on web. Uninstall all drivers. Power off computer. Remove card. Put new card in. Boot up (safe mode or not should work). Click and install your latest drivers. Should restart and wala.

alright i have done an uninstall of my old card, got the new card in and installed using the cd that came with

the drivers on the cd are cat's 3.9 LOL

what driver should i down load on ati?

like should i just select a normal radeon card? or do i have to find the multimedie drivers?

i think you will need both since you have the AIW...
also download driver cleaner and get rid of all the old crap first

what kinda fps should i exspect while playing cs:s and hl:2 ??

currently i am running 1182x864 or sum thin like that and getin around 50fps and i think aa might be at 2x ?

not exactly sure but i would think they should at least double.

what are u doing with the 8500?

my 8500 is probaly going into my spare computer or my dads computer

i just went through the display settings again and found nothing wrong, but then went through the ccc and found AF at 16x i bet this could explain my bad fps, any ways it did ,

right now im gettin about 150fps in hl2 YEAH FOR ME!!!!
