I know the solution - Don't use IE, but it's not my computer and I have tried to explain ... nonetheless, IE is not remembering passwords and when I try to "Clear Passwords" from the content tab, I get the hourglass icon and it just never comes back. After 45 minutes, the longest I waited, (hey I get paid by the hour) still just the hourglass icon. Can someone point me in the direction of how to clear this manually. In the meantime, I'll be searching for solutions via google to eat up clock hours.

I'm sure there's a single file you can delete somewhere, but in the meantime, you night try the suggest on this page (bottom paragraph):

Delete them manually here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW
They are encrypted and look like this: Y&*%4HL$ etc. etc.
The delay could be caused by a corrupted Protected Storage key or a corrupted pstores.exe. See:
