I got the XT PE on order...I just gotta be able to crank up AA and AF at 1600 x 1200

Just got my 9800 pro...im not to worried about the next gen cards untill i do an upgrade to something else...not for a while!

Nvidia 6800 for doom3 and all its games using doom3 engines...

speaking of which...only 10 more days till doom3

I have GeForce FX 5600 256MB right now. I just need something to play HL2 + ported mods.

Where the h3ll does some can't afford comment come from? Because my current 256 meg card can play it fine, I'm holding out rushing to get the first of this gen card out on the block? And since it's summertime, my time is prioritized on my Baja skiboat instead of gaming all day, so what good is a new card going to do me for the next 3 months?

If I can get the 6800GT or the X800 Pro...I'll be happy.

ive got 9800pro now....want to get x800

but im not getting anything else till i build my pci-x system :-)

You talking about your septic tank being redone. You said you were happy with your 9800 and with all the work on the tank and boat, you weren't gonna be able to have the highest end video card this time around. I know if you REALLY NEEDED it that you could afford it, but I just thought it was funny to add in

And my real logic....when summer is over and I'm actually gaming again, ATI and nVidia will release their "version 2 tweaked cards" as they always do in the fall time, which will be even faster!

no moneys, for a new card, besides it would be a waste on my main system anyway...

Good point I usually wait myself...but this time I just couldnt wait..lol

Pretty even poll, not bad!

I've been reading a few reviews and the 6800GT is the card to get.

It's not much worse than the 6800 Ultra, and it's better than the X800 Pro.

Depends on the game but also the 6800s seem to be great overclockers!
