I dunno I could'nt get into trillian, feels too different from aim to me, gaim feels just like aim and has access to all the others, and no ads adn junk either.
Try 'em both out.

I loveeee Trillian. I have one question for the people that use trillian, how do you use to connect to IRC channels?

Right click on the IRC "button".
Select Connection Manager.
Highlight the IRC Connection click on preferences, then Launch Server Manager.

I use AIM 5.0 w/ DeadAIM. I like the aim logging.
