CS is more of an addiction than a game.

Vac has a problem with false positives.. Talk to valve and tell them that it was a false positive and you will be unbanned, Unless of course you are lying and you cheated. OR. you visited a hack site, cuz vac can scan ur pc for cookies from hack sites.

I loved CS. I quit playing as soon as they went to the Steam-thing, too much bs to play it. If the HL-2 has anything to do with Steam, I probably won't be playing it either.

honestly i have never cheated and hacks sites arent my thing

As for false positives.
This directly from the valve page..
I'm having trouble with VAC.
Valve's Anti-Cheat system (VAC) is automatically detects programs and other methods used to cheat in Valve's games. If your account has been banned for past cheating violations, VAC has detected that someone using your account used an illegal cheat while connecting to a secure (VAC-enabled) server.
If VAC has determined that your account was used to cheat, you will be banned for one year from playing Valve's games on VAC-enabled game servers. However, you will still be able to play on game servers that are not VAC-enabled.
Under no circumstances will we unban an account that was detected cheating. Even if someone else was using your account when the cheating took place, you are responsible for ensuring that your account is used in accordance with Valve's anti-cheating policies.
In the extremely unlikely event of VAC erroneously banning innocent players, we will automatically unban all affected accounts.
* I want to report a possible VAC problem.
Oh well i guess...... Seems that not even after you buy something do you fully own and have control of it; but then again atleast they are trying.. i just wish they did a better job.

I doubt it. I'm almost for sure they will have a new program for CS. I couldn't imagine them still using Steam when HL2 comes out.
And I agree, Steam is bullsh*t right now. So many problems. Numerous times when I couldn't login because of cdkey/other issues

I never played any of these games. I was too busy "having fun" in college while they were popular.
