scenario:

A person is looking for his first job. He has a cousin who "hooked" (advised to apply) him up with a job because the interviewers know him and his family (cousin and family used to work there). This person is fully qualified for the job even without the hookup. The cousin isn't affiliated with any agencies. The cousin asks this person for a "referral fee" for hooking that person up with a job after being hired...is it right to ask for a "referral fee"?

what do you think of this cousin?

just wondering what your opinion is :)

The cousin is a jackass but he should buy him dinner or some sort to give thanks for the lead of the job.

but I wouldn't pay him money.

I think the cousin is an ass. I wouldnt even ask a friend for money if I got him a job. Thats just plain low.

Easy. Once he gets the job, he tells the cousin to piss off.
