So who thinks were all gonna die?

Well, now that China has our spy plane and personelle, we are in a sticky spot. This is probably one of the most dangerous situations we've been in with China since the rise of the People's Republic (socialist state) in that region.

Certainly war would be futile against an enemy as vast in numbers and boasting so many nukes.

What are your guys's thoughts on this?

China is the sleeping Giant , if you waik the up .... Just start running ..

As about the damn plane ... US plays derty games all over the world , soon this days will over , but it will not be good for any one .

I say kick their asses. Purposely bringing down a plane over international waters, and then holding the pilots hostage sure sounds like a war declaration to me.

Maybe this is retaliation for the US'S bombing of the chinese embassy?

theres no way we could survive war against China- It's silly to even imagine.

Mae Sae Tung wrote in his diaries that they had well over 200 million deployable infantry men. What does Revelations say?

The army of darkness rises 200 million strong?
hahaha- something for your christians to think about.

China is very intelligent, Americans underestimate their capacity, due to the poor and failing economic system- but their socialist rein is one that should be feared. Everyone knows not to fug with China-

I thought they were extremely intelligent in bringing down the spy plane. They are masters at espionage, and this basically proves it. They have delusioned the peoples of China to think the United States is evil, and cares more about a "replacable" spy plane more than any living life.
Perhaps so.

The united states will not fight China- It would be a total nuclear arrangment.

Sync is right. It is commonly known internationally that China is not to be f#cked with.

Thing about it, the ratio of chinese to americans is 6:1, they have been buying russian weapons since the fall of that regime, they have been nuclear for awhile now, they are one of the oldest empires on this earth, and they have a control over their people that sends shivers throughout my soul.

If a Chinese official wanted one of their people to slaughter your entire family it would be done without hesitation or remorse.
The will of the state supercedes the will of the individual, unlike in the US where the opposite ideal pervades despite local sentiment that would suggest otherwise.

I don't think that very many countries are willing to get into a nuclear war right now no matter what. Nuclear war for any country would be devastating, it doesn't hurt the soldiers, but it does kill innocent people.

We need anti-nuke countermeasures and bad.

But if it came to an invasion of American soil I'd pick up a gun and shoot me some Chinese people. Too bad though, I love their food! (badly placed j/k)

New Orleans is a major port city. Anytime there is a large troop movement, train loads of military equipment come through here to be shipped or flown out. I've seen many trains full of Humvee's, personal transport, tanks and such.

We have Belle Chase navel air station also. Plus the Great Mississippi River ends here. Wasting New Orleans would put a big time dent in troop supplies.

Not a good place to be if a country invades the US.

I would have to disagree.
It doesn't matter how many soldiers you have these days.

Wars are fought withought even sending out troops on to foreign land these days.

Look at desert storm.

Look at all the bombings in the middle-east.

All the U.S would have to do is send in a fleet of Carriers, Destroyers, Battleships, and Nuclear Submarines off Chinese waters.

If they wanted to they could destroy the whole Chinese Army withought even sending a single soldier onto Chinese land.

I doubt it would ever get that far though.

once its Nuclear we all lose. And I'm pretty sure its only a matter of time until someone has the ballz to push the button...

I don't know what to think. If they did force the plane down in international air space, than they need to be punished. If the plane was in international airspace, then wht they did sounds like an act of agression towards the US. I don't think it will go to nuclear war, but I should be more scared than you guys. Malmstron Air Force Base is here in Great Falls, and they are a missle base. There are nuclear missle silos ALL OVER Montana. We are on the top of the Russian target list. Montana is a missle bread basket (so to speak).

I know how you feel.
Remember I live in the home of the US Pacific Command.
Every single branch of the military is somewhere on the island.

Talk about being in the crosshairs.

China. The Thing about CHINA is that look at there populations. CROWDED into MAJOR cities if we did get into a NUKE war a few bombs and there goes over half there population. Think of the Goegraphy. I think We have the upperhand. Experience too I dont know about the chinamen but i think some of our guys are trained killers. I feel that other countries might give us Direct Routes to china and let hell break loose. But you never know how many countries would be in this.

Now that is if there was a war. Who ever said there was a war going on. I think we depend on each other. We have many Chinese Immigrants here and from what I know i think we are pretty peaceful with the commies.

This is just my opionion and I am just a kid.

We're awfully close to NY Prey ;)

I say that the US plane was a little closer inland than what is being said. I don't think China would ever be so foolish as to do it just to aggravate the US in such a way.

It's a spy plane on a cruise?

I hope that BUSH can hold his temper.

China are dirty bastards when it comes to any sort of confrontations with any other country, not looking forward to what's comeing of this situation...

Well, for the well being of the 24 crew members(dunno if that number is right) they are so lucky that Bush is in office. Clinton would have let em rot. Bush might be more apt to strike back, China won't take well to such things. This is a spooky situation.

The Chinese are notorious for tryin to put foreigners on trial. If they even attempt to do that with the 24 Americans, the Chinese are in for a whole sh!t load of trouble.

hopefully we will get the hostages back. if we do get them back, then we have to worry about all the top secret stuff on the plane that china now has. they (china) said they may not give the plane back. the most important thing is the hostages though.

Well, it's 10 AM in China right now and CNN was saying something about them being released today.

You think they won't interigate them? Yah right! There is something about China that they hide with great privacy. you so much as say tiawan in China and that's enough for them to interigate you for the rest of your life.. Dirty Bastards

Media is treating this weird, lookit this...

"America is too despotic," said one young man with shoulder-length hair wearing fashionable khakis and a bright windbreaker. "China needs to take a hard line on this."

Thats all they quoted from him, most of the sentence is devoted to describing his apperance.

What does his clothing have to do with this situation? Is the Media taking the Chinese side? Making them look like people rather than hordes of screamin chinamen. I DO NOT like anythng about this situation at all. Gonna go hide under my bed.

Well let's hope cooler head's prevail. it is good Bush is in the White house. He will deal from

strength, plus they the Chinesse do not know him well enough to push too hard. They respect

strength in China and most foreign cultures, but not stupidity. this is not about the next election, but about common sense.

China and it's peope are definately to be respected. they are well armed, intelligent people.

This i spy you spy stuff has gone on for years, so nothing new there. however think about it for a

moment. if you had a Chinesse spy plane in Texas would you be in a hurry to return it. rather

doubtful i would think. you would as they no doubt are doing, stall for some time to have their

experts have a look at it.

i feel confident that all will be well if everyone uses a little discretion here. China wishes to be

shown respect and is due it in my opinion. they have a vast population to contend with and the

Arab nations would probably back them as well

this the USA would take them out in a blink is ill founded. it would be a very long protracted war

with millions of lives lost on either side. in the end the USA and it's allies Canada being one of

them would no doubt prevail, but at what cost. it is simply foolish to even think of war with China.

they will do as they feel right in due course. we must wait. they will not treat the personal in hand

with anything other than questioning them to ascertain what they can, but will not torture anyone.

they to are smart enough not to go to war over something as small as this.

the media should keep it's mouth shut and try not to inflame the situation to sell Soap.

give it a couple of day's and all should be well. China is just Flexing a little is all imho

say your prayers and stay cool

Ok, here is what I know. With that kind of top secret stuff, the crew was probably instructed to wipe out the software and hardware in a case of emergency like this. Got this info from the Screen Savers tonight. They had a guy on the phone who knew a little about the plane.

Hi mikemean406

that's a given they will have dumped most of the real sensitive moment to moment stuff, but the hardware still remains.

in a plane such as this, a lot of it is gathered and immediately transferred to other mother planes.

but it's the gathering equipment itself that's hard to get rid of and that is what interests the Chinese or anyone else for that matter.

there is no doubt that China will gain info here they did not have prior, but not really that big a deal.

by the time they can implement the equipment themselves, tech. here will have moved on to a higher level.

serious but not a humungous loss.

let's pray for the best.

Got a picture in my head of those guys eating antennas, stomping circuit boards and the like. Bet the inside of that plane is shredded. Kinda wondered what kind of policy they were instructed to follow in these types of circumstances.
