Xp Sp1

Do I have to install SP1 for Windows XP after I installed all updates from WindowsUpdate?

SP1 is one of the Windows Updates.

I think you need to install it alone, just like IE and DX9.

Go here and, if you are okay with it, let Microsoft scan your computer after which they will give you a list of what you still need. Including SP1 if so needed.

Service Pack 1 includes many of the individual updates available on the Windows Update site. Install SP1 seperately then run the update a second time.

You could just goto start-control panel-system. It should say right there, something like Windows xp SP1 or something.

Install SP1, a critical update. After that is installed (and you reboot) run Windows Update again. You should install all the Critical Updates. The other updates are not required.

Go here and save all the updates on a disk, Then after a fresh install you can update from a disk. No downloading. :)

Oh yeah, Way better than downloading all the updates everytime. I have all right on a CDR, after the install i put the updates in. Better than waiting for 80mb or more to download and countless restarts. :)
