I've got a couple of both...but if it were up to me, I'd be strictly cats...dogs are ok, to a point, but drive me absolutely nuts with their barking sometimes...

Just try to leave a dog at home for a few days.......

Give a cat a big dish of water and a big bowl of food, fresh litter, and leave the AC on and he can take care of himself for a week, although you will get yelled at for about two hours when you get home ;)

It took a can of Tuna to placate Jake when I got back from Seattle Friday night.

I must rule, I agree with Shaggy! :D

Lot less to maintain, plus you can leave the house for a few days and the cat will still be alive. (I would hope :D )

Because you feed them, pet them and talk to them
Dogs - think you're God
Cats - think they're God

To me Cats seem really selfish, Dogs are pack oriented, the good of the team and all that, therefore more loyal

Both make wonderful pets...and companions.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

I best friend can't be replaced...besides, I can't stand the smell of cat piss!

If low maintenance is your objective...DON'T OWN A PET!!! DOH!

Cats have over one hundred vocal sounds, dogs only have about 10...nice and quiet!

A dog will wait three days before it will begin to consumer its deceased master. A cat will wait 30 minutes.

Cats are for people who enjoy keeping a lasagna pan filled with feces, urine and clay INSIDE their houses.
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

I do like black labs and those english terrier dogs. I want one of them and a cat. For the cat I really want to get a siamese.

I figured I'd buy them both as puppy/kitten and let them grow up to like eachother.
