Which mobo?

I'm trying to decide between the Epox 8RDA or the MSI K7N2-L.

I'm partial to the MSI brand name, although I've never personally owned an Epox board. I'm also a little worried about all the posts/reviews (here and at newegg) about DOA Epox boards.

I'm planning on matching the board up with a 2100+ (probably a 0306 week from gameve.com) and 512MB Crucial PC2700. I hope to OC to 2GHz+

Based on overall performance, which board would be better?

The MSI boards have the best quality control and are the most stable ones Ive ever used.

as far as oc options i think the 8rda is better

i have an msi mobo and I cant stand it. intel845 chipset rocks...

it wont reboot 50% of the time. you have to shut down and wait 10 seconds. known problem. they wont fix it either.

Sounds more like user error to me, or a different error. Kinda funny how Ive built like 8 AMD machines all with MSI motherboards and not one had a single problem.

Epox is abandoning its customers...so much for Epox.

not a user error. known problem with my model mobo, which was first intel845 that was available.

it's only a model error, not all msi mobos. just sickens me that they never fixed it. check as soon as two months ago... no fix in sight in msi forums or site.

I just ordered the 8RDA+, an XP2100+B, a stick of Crucial 512MB PC2700, and a Volcano 9.

I'm going to install this in my Enlight case with 300w PSU and see what speeds I can get.

Then I'll probably upgrade the PSU (newegg was out of stock) to an Enlight 420w, or maybe shell out the $$$ for an Antec 430w True Power.

The Epox board, for me, is one of the best out. It might be some business deal of a sort, but Epox has never failed me. As long as their product stands right, then I'm goin ahead with the new 8RDA+. I don't care about the barton. I'm interested in something else and by the time that rolls around, I'll get a whole new setup which includes board and cpu.
