perhaps some of you whom have the service can answer this question for me.

I am curious if you have to do anything other than normal to log into SG. I have my cookies enabled on most of my machines that I work from and I would hate to have to type in a username or anything each time I visited SG.

So, how does the system tell whom is premium and whom is not?

Also, quick question for Philip, if I were to initially go with 1 month then upgrade to a year subscription; would I then only have to pay the difference of cost or would it cost the whole amount and extend my contract?

I am just a curious buck as I have a website where I can host my own images, the ads don't really bother me too much as I have become accostomed to them, the thing I like the most is the port scanner. I have 6 different rigs on my network at home and I do want to keep it as secure as possible while still allowing myself to access the network remotely.

Thanks in advance.

Lance you don't have to do anything different when logging in. Only the main page shows anything different. It shows when your subscription expires, and it gives you a link to the "File Manager" and a link to the advanced port scanner.

Once you register, anytime you decide to extend your sunscription (while it is active), it is calculated from the time the initial one expires. So, if you were to get a 1 month subscription today (2003-07-02 to 2003-08-02) and decide to extend on the 15th, it will actually add a year to your existing subsctiption and become 2003-07-02 to 2004-08-02.

If on the other hand you let your initial subscription expire, any subsequent subscription will begin on the date you subscribe.

I hope this answers your question, thanks for the interest :)

No, it is the same price. It just adds on. Say I got a Months Subscription on the 1st of June, and then on the 15th of June Decided I wanted to add a year onto my subscription. It would still cost the $7 or whatever for the first month and the $60 for the year. However the Month Subscription would expire on the 30th of June then the Year subscription would run from July 1st to July 1st of the next year. It just adds on to the end of the subscription.

The cost for the initial monthly subscription wont change, if that's what you're asking... The cost for the additional year would be $60 as stated.

If we were to prorate all the monthly subscriptions there would be no insentive for a yearly subscription, users could just extend every month. It is all there for a reason - the fewer transactions there are, the less fees are involved. For example a monthly subscription costs us $0.47 just for transaction fees.

gotcha!!!

thanks, that is what I was wondering, to see if I really think that 60 bux is too much at once or to just pay for a month to try it out and upgrade from there. I gotta be cost efficient ya know

Thanks again,

Is there some contract, that if I buy a 1-year, I'll still get the same (Or better) service? This sounds pretty good so far. (AND original. I haven't seen other sites offer a service like this.)

Thanks for the positive comments about the service.

There are no guarantees as per the legal contract/Terms of Service to avoid liability on our side, however we do stand 100% behind our services, being it free or premium. Even in the unlikely event that we were to discontinue some part of our services, we'd still honor our current premium members.

how about win a free month then? have a monthly contest by testing our knowledge with a question from each forum? < could make us less stupid in the process?

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

Well, let's put it this way... It has covered development costs if you exclude my time, but who's counting :) .

Actually, we have had about 50 subscriptions total, with about 40 active at this time... It's been around for almost 3 months, I don't know, you be the judge. I guess I am not a very good salesman, lol... Maybe if we introduced a private "babe-forum" or something of the sort as a value-added service... Hmm ;)

Either way, it's another level of service that should prove valuable to some of our users, and has to be limited access because of serving cost, so the project objective has been met.

With all that said, subscribe people, the Premium Club rocks !!!
