San Jose was damn lucky to get past Calgary. Although there was some high expectations from them when the playoffs first started, I don't think they're gonna last against Dallas.

To be fair I think any team needs a bit more than luck to get past Calgary. Anyway, we sometimes play better when our back's against the wall, so I'm hoping the next few games will go better. And should we get past Dallas, I know the Wings are the favorite and really hard to beat, blah blah blah, but San Jose are my team, so I'll always have hope.

I hate you! I bet that was a great game to be at. I missed the beginning of the 2nd period and came back and it was 3-0 NYR and i was so ticked.

The rest of the game made up for it though!

I hope they can pull one off in NY, i say if they come back to pittsburgh up 3-1 its over! :thumb:

Wow, 3-0 in 3 different series! This playoffs has been some entertaining hockey so far.

GO PENS!

I like the physical scumbag play by the Flyers so far. I say that because although I am Canadian, I hate the Habs.

One thing I will say between the Avs and Wings tonight, terrible job of officiating. I know the Wings will take this, but the multiple offences on Forsberg were just disgusting. Not only was he tripped with the stick, but footsweeped with the guys hand and no call. More garbage at the end of the game with a 4 to 3 score and no call.

What's killing hockey is a trip or slash or whatever in the first period, isn't a trip or slash or whatever in the 3rd. I think players don't know wtf they can and can't do anymore. It's friggin the truth!!! Boo to you NHL. As a true fan of the sport (I like the Leafs for gods sake), it pisses me off. It's like WWF with Jack Tunney out there.

Hun I mean no disrespect, as a die hard hockey fan, I'm just calling it as I see it.

I might even venture to say Dallas is gonna beat Detroit WHEN they meet, against my original and final prediction of Pens vs Wings, but not yet. ;)

Seeing Jagr almost cry brought me joy (not a fan of him). Go Pens!!!

Most talented team out there, bar none! The old sweat hogs of Detroit or Dallas won't like nor be able to handle back to back games with what they have. Inexperience won't matter this year.

Calling it as you see it is one thing but it does go both ways. I could post just as many if not more against Foote. And to call what's out there the WWF is pretty far fetched IMHO to even 5 years ago. And even then, the wings and avs didn't play that way. Except when they played each other lol

And for forsberg, as many times as he's been let by the officials to grab the defensemens stick as he makes his outside move in the offensive zone, give me a break.

It happens, refs will never call everything on the ice. you could find at least one penalty every shift. And i'm talking throughout the history of the league.

Detroit is still old to you eh? And if you can't see Detroit as a skill team not a grinding team, I think you may be a candidate for GM in Toronto :D

And I wish someone would decide why the wings are winning ffs! is it the flu, the officials, or injurys? Because god knows it can't be talent

and the refs must me making Osgood play well, franzen hat trick was manufactured by the league. poor, poor colorado

sheesh

If you look at my first prediction you'll see Pens vs Wings for the cup. Detroits a damn good team. No, a great team! I'm talking about the game in the same paragraph. Not team colors or the loudest fans, but the GAME!

Also, Detroit won't beat the Pens if it makes it to that because the Pens have MORE raw talent and youth. Talk to me after they've beaten the Stars.

we need a drop gloves av stat! :p

And yes, you were talking about the game, using the wings vs. avs and more specifically the officiating in tonights game as an example.

I think Pittsburgh is good too but I also believe they haven't really been challenged yet.

Crosby and Malkin vs. Datsuyk and Zetterberg?

Osgood and Hasek vs. Fleury

Lidstrom vs. ?

proven playoff experience and talent vs. raw talent and youth

We'll see.

And it's still a big if either makes it to the finals let alone the next series.

Back to back games for the old timers.

And I'd take the Malkin, Crosby, Hossa as you've already figured out.

You can have them :p

I'd be happy with datsuyk and zetterberg playing against them. Better defensively IMHO

yes, you're right. I don't know the game because I am making a case for my team.

Or is it because I'm not canadian?

Pride, yes. Blinded by it no. And I would put my hockey knowledge up there with anyone. Hockey knowledge isn't about being able to pick who is going to win. I know enough that I let the pros decide that, on the ice.
