different opinions just aren't allowed by you are they? what's so wrong with people thanking philip for something they appreciated? Just because it's not what you agree with doesn't make that wrong.

You come off exactly like the type of things you so acerbically post about. You know, the whole world being led to think one way and such. why all the hating?

All talk, no action. Sign of the world's best critic. I used to appreciate your intellect and your wit, but here lately you spew some rancid stuff. Yes you're entitled to your opinion, but not to the detriment of those around you. Gee, it's kind of like the power hungry police state propaganda you espouse. "I am the Law, what I say is all that matters and to hell with everyone else!"

Oh great now this place can get even more boring. The only good thing to come of this is that there will be less reposts.

I hope some others have read this, and any warnings they have gotten as well. Philip is doing what his forum rules dictate. many other forums are not near as lenient.

Warnings are for a reason. They give the peson a chance to wise up,before the manager has to take action.

Prey and a few others, a long time ago, were the reason I joined. He was fun, funny, and a common friend to everyone (other than the newbs, as his nickname "noobslayer" implied). Just like Brent though, he started to go south, and wouldn't listen to reason when warned. Too bad, so sad.

When Bouncer is around there are far less insults, and mod bashing.
The reason?
Because everyone knows Bouncer doesn't allow things to go very far, and he takes action quickly, and decisively. I used to dislike Bouncer for his ways, but have come to realize when dealing with some of the children here, a Bouncer is what we need at times.

Thanks Philip.

I hope Prey learns from this, and comes back his old self.

My 2 cents

Norm

P.S.
Burke
Wise up. I know you're smart enough to phrase your thoughrs without getting yourself banned. Please stop putting yourself on the edge. Calling Philips post lame is an insult to the very person who provides these forums for your 'enjoyment'. Please don't push any further. You're a good guy and you speak sometimes as I think, but man, you can't always post your thoughts and you know that.

I don't think he should have been banned. It's general discussion, discussing anything in general. It's not my board though.
thats why you are not a mod ... and you are right this is is a general discussion board, not a flame/troll and attack others to make them feel less human board

although i like prey a lot and have known him since 2001, he has not been himself lately ...

Okay, let's see some of this "impartial moderation" in the thread...unless trolling and baiting is only something miscreants like me engage in?

We all have lives, Burke. Taking care of it right now.

For the members, keep your commets civil please and refrain from personal attacks. Unless of course you'd like to see what an infraction looks like.

This is what we're trying to avoid is all the personl attacks that seem to be the rage on here, anymore.

Further to what Downhill said:

Impartial moderation? That doesn't exist anymore than impartial juries.

Every mod on this board has been frustrated and offended by your attitude and conduct to others. You might reasonably expect that at least some of us were not displeased to see others give you feedback in an unpleasant manner and were slow to moderate for that reason.

You really need to think about your place on this forum. As Philip pointed out, you barely have one.

This is Philips house, as has been pointed out many many times. The rules employed here are not that difficult to respect and to follow. I shudder at the thought of some of you entering a friends home, in real life, and speaking/acting in the same manner as has been of late here. I doubt that it would happen...and if it did...I would imagine much the same results, but a whole lot quicker!

I also realize real life can get pretty tough at times, but this is no place to take it out on. Many come here for help, comfort and commodary on this particular board, tech support on several others. Please let it remain as such.

The mods on this board are overloaded of late...and as one pointed out...there is no reason they should have to babysit! Return old speedguide!! I miss ya!

You're right. Many do come here for help, comradery and support....I love the way that the "non-offensive" threads like the one of Jessica Alba's partially naked body brought us all together...or the one of Jessica Biel and her bouncing a55. I love those non-offensive threads!! oh yes, I also love the one talking about Natalie Gulbis and her golf clubs. I love the way that it made me feel when everyone started talking about all the wonderfully non-offensive things they would do to those girls if they had the chance.

I just think that some of the babysitting is somewhat biased at times. You can't talk about the pope but you can show and talk about a55 and tits.

I can only imagine the "support" you got from those threads Sava (taking into consideration if you're right handed of left handed). On second thought, I don't want to imagine that at all.

The only bias, is that the majority on the forum, thinks you sure follow what your avatar shows.. put some tape on your own mouth, in a "X" type pattern for a change. :thumb:
