Only problem with a bigtime coming player coming to play for the Yanks is that many of them fold under the pressure of playing in NY. Randy Johnson, Kenny Rogers and A-Rod are prime examples of not being able to handle the NYC pressure. I'd be happy if the Yanks got one and the Mets got the other of your pitchers :D

I went to school in the city of Brotherly Love. Philly is a huge city for attitude.

Quite true, although Randy Johnson is showing the ravages of his age rather than his head.

I would have thought A-Rod could have handled it better. I am sure the Yankees would like to have that trade to do over again. Then again, Soriano was iffy in the playoffs.

To reach the pinnacle of being a major league player, someone must have excelled at all levels previously. The frustration can be understandable, if it were sincere.

I thought he'd hold up better also....although I'm not convinced it's just the pressure. I mean he came up young with a lot of pub and a lot has been expected of him just about everywhere he's played...he should be used to this by now.

If he returns to form, Barry Bonds will not hold the career home run title for long. A-Rod will probably break it, but not in pinstripes.
