1976 Honda Civic - Interesting thing about this car. It was a semi-automatic. Meaning I had to shift from 1st to 2nd gear when accelerating and back again when decelerating at around 20 mph. Crazy thing is it had no clutch. :p

When I was younger... In the late 80's, I drove a 1983 Honda Civic Hatchback.. bought it used. Almost like this one.. same color but not a long as this wagon.
Image

This was a nice little car. "SEMI-AUTOMATIC" it was dubbed. You put it in 1st, then after 30mph , you put it into 2nd. When you stopped, you put it back into 1st.. LOL.. or.. Leave it in 2nd rev the engine and pop that puppy into 1st.. good times :D The other wicked cool thing was that this car had a cassette deck that had a FM/AM radio PLUS Shortwave.. weird.. also had Weather Radio band freq's (Noaa) which was also cool.. that got ripped off by the tow truck company.. (cont..)

My Father put in a new heater core.. and had to remove the whole dash to install the fickin thing for it to work.. then.. I got broadsided.. still got the indent in my leg that reminds me of the event. My Father was ticked but he was cool about it at the same time, seeing how it wasn't 100% my fault..

Was it 30 mph we had to shift? Damn, it's been 20 years since I drove that car.

I am sure we've been here before. :D
Mine was a 1948 Standard 8 similar to the pic but not quite..
Suicide doors, sliding roof, rod actuators on the brakes (no cables or hydraulics) and a timber floor.

It was also fitted with side and back window roll up privacy blinds operated by cord above the driver's door.
Great fun. Wish I still had the old girl.

Oh yeah.... A powerhouse 8hp sidevalve engine and 4 speed gearbox, floor shift.

Headlamps on mine were 9" and all chrome.

Cost: au$30.00 registered for 6 months.

Well, I can't come close to that!

1950 Ford 2-door, black. I don't think Ford at that time had started to use other colors.

1954 Pontiac Flathead 8. Got it from my oldest brother in 1960, when dealer gave him $200 trade-in if he would keep it. Finally died in February 1966. Brother who used it while I did my two years didn't put any antifreeze in, froze up and cracked the block.

1964 Bel-Aire Wagon
1969 Mustang Grande (New), 302, 2 barrel, 3 speed, clocked at 115 mph. Got lucky, trooper only gave me a warning. Ran it for 13 years.
1979 Ford Pinto Wagon
1985 Ford LTD Wagon
1995 Dodge Caravan
presently drive 2000 Chevy Astro

Some minor mods....
