Look for Hailie's Song from The Eminem Show. One song where he sang. Still better than Justin Timberlate squealing about crying rivers

LOL YoS, I can't believe you said he doesn't have a lyrical gift. I hope you know there are other songs he SINGS SINGS SIIIINGS besides the ones in his albums and soundtracks. No one should be offended by what he says... it's called music.. he's stating his opinions and thoughts... Just as you and I.. I'm not even going to argue anymore... I blocked out all the damn curses and it was still edited-lol >sigh<

i'm not offended, just sayign some one with a lyrical gift wouldnt be so repetitive with the cursing.

someone with lyrical talent was Biggie Smalls(sp) dont like his stuff but he could write a song.

I agree with ya prey, but you know that if someone makes it big then there are always going to be people trying to bash him because "they" dont understand it or dont like it. I say more power to him for making great songs (IMHO :P ) and for making it big.

What MM has taught us.... I agree that he is not an educator, however he is someone who is emulated. Dr. Dre knew damned well that if he presented a white face with street creds, he could have a rap superstar. Rap has had an extended fifteen minutes as that rebellious noise meant to scare or aggravate parents. That is the focus market for this genre.

Musicians, like most artists, do not usually have a prosperous life. As glamorous as it seems for the rarefied elite, it is very depressing.

"Dre, just cum and bum Aiyyo ram it up a little bit Aiyyo..
this song is for the gay one.. **** it Just shut up and listen,
This song is for the gay one? I don't remember Eminem spittin out a song like that... and trust me... IT WOULD BE KNOW ALL OVER THE WORLD. That's some song you just made up... the first song was from his first album, an EP titled Infinite. OLD... but its still hot... you just dont relate and hate...

It's called hip hop... they could say whatever the f they want..

Just like 50 cent said "I'm gettin what you get for a brick to talk greazy" - which basically means he's getting paid what drug dealers get paid after selling a kilo of coke, just to talk sh1t.

All it has to do is rhyme... then they all shine in time... and got a bunch of envious people who do nothin but whine

I find it interesting that criticism of Eminem somehow equates to me being "jealous" of him. A sad defense indeed.

I don't really need to say more...the continued posting of his lyrics speak volumes for the point I was originally making.

I think that whole award was messed up... they woulda given it to "wild thornberries" had it not been for Eminem... and that was a bajillion times worse than having to listen to rap... anyway...

I don't like Eminem for the fact that he comes off as "Anti-woman" if memory serves me right, his devorce was because he had abused his wife and since his devource he has had little contact with his child...

Being labelled as a "Hater" for not liking MM is rather ironic, don't you think?

I've yet to hear a country song talking about beating women, Garth had a song a few years ago that was banned in the south because an abused wife killed her husband.

The garth brooks song was about a guy that drove a truck into a hotel room because his wife was cheating on him.

Let me ask you this if you have a song that is about a women killing the man that abused her.... and you have a song about a guy being angry and violent towards women because his mom beat him as a child is there a lot of difference....both are goning to leave scars

i am an enimen fan but i dont agree with his attitude towards women at all

I am not scorning him for the expression of the ideas, I am scorning the ideas themselves and the manner in which Eminem presents them. You can justify the delivery by saying it's because he had a rough childhood, or grew up around crime, whatever...but none of it excuses the fact that his lyrics incite and encourage young people to express themselves in a similar crude and crass way, to the detriment of society as a whole.

No difference to me whatsoever...however, Eminem is ubiquitous with current pop culture (and thusly relies on millions of teenagers to fuel his album sales) and Motley Crue is not.

Even at their worst, Motley Crue never spoke of rape, murder and incest, and certainly not in the way Eminem does.

If it means public figures being responsible and not contributing to the devolution of American culture through the poisoning of our youths, then absolutely.

Like it or not, there is right and wrong, and humans know instinctively what is right and what is wrong. Those who go to great lengths to justify the actions of others are only denying that which they already know. It is patently wrong to espouse the ideas of people like Eminem as the mainstream in America, when they are not.

So if I listen to Queen or Elton John does that mean I'll turn into a gay man or wanting to eplore other mens extremeities?

WOW  this is turning into the Charles Barkley Argument in which is soceity (ie...entertainers and sportstars) responsible for raising children or is parents that should teach right or wrong

Young people are.

It's not a matter of being swayed into action, but rather a systematic desensitizing of people to the kind of material Eminem disseminates.

Parents should be raising their children, of course. However, it is naive to believe that people are thrust out into the world and are all capable of discerning between what is entertainment and what is reality.
