The Who: Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy ...
A collection of their singles, most never appearing on their albums. "I'm a Boy", "I Can See for Miles" & "My Generation" amongst the lineup. Well done!

Leonard Cohen: Live in London ... 2 CD's
Leonard at 73 really puts on a terrific live show and is backed by some first class musicians and singers. I especially liked Javier Mas on banduria, a Spanish musical instrument of the guitar family with six pairs of double strings of which he plays the hell out of.

I must admit i'm late to the party on this group having just discovered them. They had me after the first track. I will be mining their prior releases as they are simply excellent imho.

Vaughan Williams: Symphonies Nos. 7 "Sinfonia antartica" & 8
NAXOS 8.550737
The picture it paints is simply glorious.
I'm not a big classical fan but works such as this are just too wonderful to pass by.

As usual another excellent performance by Lyle & His Large Band. He has some superior musicians in his group and allows them to shine.

Janis Joplin: Pearl ... 2CD Legacy Edition ... Remastered with Bonus Tracks on CD1 & Disc2 is Live from the Festival Express Tour, Canada 1970
What can you say, its Joplin & if she doesn't rock your world there's no hope for you. A shame she left so early as no doubt there was a lot more to come.
