Hi Brian

They are an infectious group to be sure. The "Aint Had Enough Fun" CD is not up to the same rockin mode of the "Live From Neon Park" CDs but non the less very good. Their early 70's stuff like "Sailin' Shoes, Dixie Chicken, etc. where their best efforts i think.

Pleased we share some of the same taste in music, now if only i had your comp knowledge i'd be happy as a clam.

yep ! I saw them in oakland in 77,amazing band back then,great times for sure.
I saw so many really great shows in the 70's,nor cal(bay area) was the mecca for rock.
I was stoned out of my mind for many of them,it was what we did.

After years of keeping track of my CDs in a binder i finally came across a program called CATraxx which suits my needs to a T.

I have been going through my CD collection and cataloging them & whilst doing so have found some misfiled CDs and become reacquainted with some forgotten ones as well.

One such is Harry Chapin's "The Gold Medal Collection"

This is simply a wonderful collection of his work. He was a noted humanitarian and a fantastic story teller who left us too soon. By coincidence his passing was 30 years ago, which i hadn't realized as being so long ago. I remember how shocked & saddened the world was to hear of this tragic accident.

It is a 2 CD set containing 32 wonderful songs. Hope you find it as pleasurable as i do.

Dan what sucks is, we were in line to buy tickets to their concert when the news came down that John Bonham had died and the tour was canceled. Talk about being blown away................

There was this girl I was so in love with. Wish to God I could have made her my wife. Anyhow, we used to sit around and listen to this for hours on end. She had all these pics of Where the Wild Things are, on her walls. She was one wild babe. Problem is, she was 14 and I was 18. I still wonder what has happened to her and her life. I know she got married and her husband was killed in a cycle acccident, but that's the last I ever heard from her.

Been working my butt off cataloging my CD collection in the CATraxx program i recently purchased. Been at it for a week or so and just now finished. Really nice to finally have an exact inventory for insurance purposes as well as knowing what i have and how many. This program gives all kinds of info i will never use, but here is my grand total which i was never quite sure of.

Total CD count 1,095

Glad that is over with. Now just a matter of keeping it up as i go.

Been at it a few years and they do add up

I've always kept a running inventory in a binder but as you can imagine it becomes a mess over time. This breaks it all down for me and though it is a pain initially should prove a treat from now on.

Been waiting for patience to strike me as i need another CD Rack & i just hate those things as it is a do it yourself deal and that is not my best area. It seems i spell Fix with a U more often than not.

Example of a Stat supplied with new program...897hr. 54min. 14sec. of playing time.

As i mentioned to Brian i have been into stereo for a very long time. Vinyl, 8 track, cassette and so on over the years. I switched to CD when it first came out and vowed that it would be my last format. 2 channel Redbook CD and nothing else till the end for me.

I try to stop buying but i just can't help wanting the new releases from Van Morrison, Neil, Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt and many others. As well i get into new groups like Arcade Fire and so on.

Crazy hobby but i'm too old to chase girls now for fear i might actually catch one and then be left to wondering what to do then.

It's putting the helmet on and lubing the working parts prior to the ride that kind of leaves me cold these days Brian.

When i was a bit younger i'd just hop on any bike & ride the hell out of it without worry or fear. Things have changed and it has become a worrisome experience now with so many new things that can & do go wrong it seems. Back in the day penicillin was your ticket to Ride without a care, not so much anymore.

The other thing being i really don't want to have to give up half of my CD Collection along with my house & car.
