Im a Noob so don't hate me...

How can I close My ports? I found out that I have several open ports and Im affraid of it being Open... People said to get a Firewall... What are some GOOD FREE NOT HOG MEMORY firewalls?

Sygate Pesonal is about the best, free, low resource firewall.

Firewalls will not "CLOSE" ports. They will block them. To close a port simply shut off the service which is running on that port.
The bottleneck is local...

i highly recommend OutPost by Agnitum. its a wonderful firewall with a great rule base, easy to learn and version 2 is coming soon.

i like outpost for the most part but i think they dont have as much ability as other firewalls. anyways, i will recoomend this one too but i think in the future when tehy develope more they will be better.
