A/C vs. Monitor!

will an a/c mess with a monitor the same way a fan will? my a/c has been busted for a couple of years now and i am considering buying a new one however the way i have my room setup is unavoidable. one of my monitors is directly in from of the a/c.

i can get by with only using either while the other is off, will the a/c have any effect while the monitor is off?

The AC itself will not, however the fan inside, if it's too close, will. Usually after about a foot or two, the effects are negligible.

how about when the monitor is off, will it still effect the monitor?
