I know you use to be able to buy POP3 mail service from hotmail .. but that was years ago. It was like 20.00 per year, I used it for one year had no problems with it at all.

Do a search on your favorite search engine ... I'm sure there's a ton of places that offer the service.

Its easier and cheaper just to get a dial-up service from a local provider. You usually get up to seven email (pop) accounts. You don't have to use the dial-up number as far as I know. But would be a good back-up for when ConCast goes down. My local telephone company here offers free dial up service and email to phone customers. I dont use it though.

I discovered that you can sign up with Yahoo for email and can set it up for access using pop3. Go to Options and then select Web and Pop Access. Select Need Help in the Description for details.
It works great for me. I use it for those sites that I don't want to know my REAL email address but still want the info.

Awesome place, and web access e-mail, so you can get to your e-mail from anywhere you can get internet access, through any fairly new web browser.

When you say "too long" and "up to 8 hours or 2 days" do you mean from the time the message was sent to get to your email inbox??!!??

You could go with SpamCop, $30.00 per year--with spam filtering and spam reporting to boot. You can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak...

Yes Mike that's it.

I have yahoo account. I can use it and trillain. Since trillian will check for mail in your yahoo account.

It should only be a couple of months before comcast gets thing tweaked right. Or enough people stop using them that serice will improve. LOL
