well.. i had installed windows xp professional on my machine,
the thing is , ihave been try'ng to make xp recognize my sound card whit no go situation, i downloaded the new drivers from soundblaster.com used that old trick of recognize new hardware, nothing help's what the hell shuld i do next ?? eny ideas guy's ????

remove the device in device manager and reboot it should pick it up fine as is, if not look in the multimedia properties for anythign not set right or the volume to low, if that doesnt help check device manager for conflicts

Xp Professional should have set up your Live card correctly.
Then you are suppose to go to Windows Update, and let it install THAT soundblaster live Driver....

You should not have to install The drivers from Soundblaster website...

Mine no longer is linked to 'Dos' Type stuff, irq 5 example.........

guy's ... i did try'd all the trick's in the book (my book) !
demn.... it's just not working !!!!!!!!!! what shuld i do next???
except break the demn card to 1000000 piaces.......... :(

get the 2k/xp drivers off of http://www.soundblaster.com and try that

mmmm..... none of the aboved work'd .... :( it say's that enother device is using the m... but i cant find enything that is using it..
it's like a deamon posest it...... demn... i unplugged it & plugged it again... & nothing.. ! it's working fine in win-me but xp dosen'tlike it much... :cry: :cry:

i would take all the software out for the card then shut dwon and take the card out then reboot with the card out then shut down reinstall and c what happens make sure you goto add or remove progarams and take out the driver for the sound blaster there if it is there then it will be a fresh start gl and let me know if it works

sorry to inform you : that didnt worke'd too.. :( i donno what is wrong whit that xp s****t it's working fine under win-me ....

well... thats what computers all about i guess.... endless problems.................................
