Do a search for TKD on this site. I posted a link to the TDK 24X for around $149.00

That's a great deal on a 24X burner.

Best Buy is selling the TDK 16X for $129 and a 50 dollar rebate. That makes it around 79 bucks. That's a great buy. I just got mine.

The new Plexy's can't do Safedisc2 or the new Audio CD's that support anti ripping.

Not sure about the rest of the 24X batch.

Let me clarify,

First off, you must one of the lucky few who own one of the first batch that came out. Newer models won't let you. Lucky dog.

Most newer models of 24X burners won't do safedisc 2. Not that they can't but the hardware is set NOT to.

Are those two programs your talking about, copy protected with safedisc 2?

Yes they are copy protected with safedisc 2, yes I have been burning safedisc 2 games with my plexter 24x, no I do not use the firmware that it came with, I dl and updated my firmware so that I may burn safedisc 2.Also certain media will not accept safedisc 2 encryption, also I have been doing this for 2 years now(burning copy protected software).

Here is a complete list of sites with people who live for this kind of $hit read, learn, SG is not the site for learning how to pick a cdr, copy safedisc.

http://www.cdrinfo.com/
http://www.plextor.be/download/ftp1/W2410V102.exe <-FW

http://www.pir8.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?FID=48
http://www.gamecopyworld.com/

SD2 overloads the drives EFM encoder, so thats why you need your burner to support correct EFM encoding to perfectly backup SD2

Thanks for the update. You could have saved me the trouble of a post if you had mentioned that in the first place.

Still, your right, other sites specialize in this stuff.
