Whats faster for Cable?
USB or Ethernet Card
There several threads on this which you can search. You can also read this to see what some people are using.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Technically the max via USB is 12Mbs. Whatever card you purchase is probably a 10/100 capable of either max speed 10 or 100 depending on your network(ethernet, gigabit ethernet,etc..)Bottom line is speed wise it does not matter, however if you want reliability and don't want to have to reinstall USB every two weeks because it craps out then go with the card.
The brave man is not he who feels no fear, For that were stupid and irrational; But he, whose noble soul its fears subdues, And bravely dares the danger nature shrinks from.

I've had both also....
I went from a USB to a cheap nic to a better nic.
Nic's are faster if you get a good quality one.

No Question is a dumb Question when it comes to Tweaking!
Although the USB specs are 12mbps, I havent seen a USB go faster than like 5mbps. Also, we have done tests before, and when you get 8mbps on a NIC, if you switch to USB, it is slower.Originally posted by therealcableguy

USB also uses some system resources.
