I read the installation procedures for FAT PIPE, but it doesn't mention CABLE connections, only dial up! Does it works on 2 cable modens for the same computer!?

If it's going to work you need to have 2 cable lines, and 2 internet cable accounts on your isp. Do you have this?

It appears that you must have the Fat Pipe DSL edition to share two DSL and/or cable modems. It starts at $199 U.S.

As noted, you will need two accounts with your ISP to do this.

A limitation of this and any other similar software is that the two accounts will have different IP's. That can't be fixed at your end, and it limits what you can do. For example, it will not allow an FTP program to share the two accounts for either upload or download.

.....it will not allow an FTP program to share the two accounts for either upload or download.

I thought that was the whole point of using a load balancing software. So how does it actually work? If I connect to a ftp and download, since I only have one connection to the ftp will it us both lines or only one of the lines? How does it decide which line to use?

I got 2 lines and 2 accounts and 2 diferent IPs
I'm asking that because i had 2 computers, but i'm going to sell one, and, believe, it's cheaper 2 have 2 accounts of 256/256 than one of 512/512.

That's why I'm trying to keep the 2 connections.
