Is everyone ready for Christmas?

Post by Easto »

We're making it easy on ourselves this year. We're just giving all the grandkids money. They're all between 14 and 26 and trying to figure out what they want has become more of a hassle than you can believe. So we decided... money! As it stands right now the only gift I still need to get is something for Mrs. Easto. I think I'll probably get her some perfume. I know it might sound a bit generic but she really loves her perfume. When she runs out she reacts just like most people do when they've left their phone at home, just total "what am I going to do!".

Since my kids grew up I opt on the side of money (cash, Amazon gift cards), or some electronics that they really need to upgrade (but don't have the budget for), like cell phones... Thanks for the reminder though, I have to find/buy this perfume for the wifey that she likes, it totally slipped my mind heh, I "think" I know the exact name, but they have variations.

One year I sent through the medicine cabinet and wrote down all the things she uses i.e. eye creams, moisturizers etc and then bought her 1 of each. She got about 5 or 6 things that years and I've never seen her so excited on Christmas morning.

I sure am! Because of the puppy, we're doing a garland on the fireplace mantle and hanging little ornaments from it, along with the stockings. Prepping to have a quiet Christmas, just a lovely dinner and then some mulled wine and hot cocoa with music. Not really going for the gifts this year; we both found we just value time more than physical objects.
