I want to delete, selectively, Chrome history and cache for certain websites upon closing Chrome. So far I've been trying the following...
Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Additional content settings > On device site data. Under "Always delete site data from your device when you close Chrome" I've added 2 websites. But when I close Chrome (which should be deleting this data) the website in the list remain in my Chrome History. Am I missing something here?
I want to remove Chrome History
Re: I want to remove Chrome History
My best guess is that site history is different than site data (cookies, cache, etc.)
You can manually delete sites from the History menu, not sure if it can be automated.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, that History is treated differently. How would I check to see if the "cookies, cache, etc" have been deleted?
Basically what I'm trying to do is remove any trace of me accessing those sites so that if I am hacked there wouldn't be any clues of where I bank, invest etc.

Not sure, they've updated some of the settings and I don't see the search for a specific site in the settings > "cookies/site data" anymore, I feel like it was there in earlier builds.
I know in the chrome://history/ page, you can SHIFT+Click to select multiple lines, so you don't have to individually click many rows.
