5/5/1999 is when I registered the speedguide.net domain, and pretty much that's when I got serious about developing the content on the site, when this journey got real for me. It's always been about helping broadband users, and still is.
I'd just like to say thanks to every single one of you who's been part of the site and the forums!
Cheers.

Sometimes I'll read through the posts in the General Achive's section at the bottom of the main forum page. It can bring back some sad and great memories.
LOL. Oh man, so many of us had great times over the years.
*My trips to Tampa for Gasparilla fest......
*Trip to Detroit for a meet....
*Hosted a couple of cookouts at my place...(yeah, got out of control on one of them....dark time of my life)
*Our gaming servers....lots of SG members here playing online
Such a great community, rarely seen in other forums. Big thanks to -P the boss man!

Cheers, my friend!
And let's not forget the time Immy forced us all to unwittingly download a pic of his naked arse onto our computers. DAMN YOU, HTML!!
Also, I agree on the great community. I would frequently refer to this as my "internet home".
Phil... a mountain of appreciation from me/us for the platform you created.
Thanks for the kind words guys! Just doing my part to keep it up. The platform may be aging a bit, but I'm reluctant to change it into one of those phone sites. Cheers.

23 years later not as much partying less posts and peeps however SG is a lot like a beautiful old home with great neighbors.
I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous
sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box .

It's honestly nice to just come back here and read, see who is still around. Might be on the fringes but y'all are fantastic folks and I'm glad to have - literally - grown up with you all.
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!
