For some of the people I support I like to use a remote access tool, especially for smaller minor issues. I used to use Team Viewer a lot. But have had many cases now where even though they open TV QS on their end and get an ID Number, when I try to connect from my end Team Viewer tells me they must not be running TV on their computer. I recently heard about and tried Any Desk. Easy, connects good. But it seems to LOCK ME OUT of MANY FUNCTIONS AND PROGRAMS, Services, Task Scheduler, CCleaner, Malwarebytes AntiMalware. I wind up tell the other person, click this, now click this, etc.
Does anyone know a good tool like this which is free and works well.
Best remote control tool

Thanks for the response. Could you recommend one that is easiest for the other person (who I am connecting to) to open up and make ready. Most of these people do not want one that is installed and always available. They want to launch it, like Anydesk OR Team Viewer QS, give me the codes and then I can come in.

For 1x time connections, the absolute easiest I've ever used, was Join.Me
https://www.join.me/
When were were transitioning our RMM tools I used this for a brief period of time.
Otherwise, for the past..13 years or so, we really just use our RMM, which is N-Central by Solarwinds..it's a whole IT professional suite of RMM tools and services.
I remember aeroadmin being pretty easy too.

Yup the free version does not have that premium feature.
I don't believe join.me had the file transfer, I "think" AnyDesk has it on the free version
