Hey all, I pent all night reading up on various posts here on this site. I even did a slow methodical walk through on the registry tweaks. On this report from the Analyzer, it mentions about a TCP Options String. I do not recall seeing anything about it and from the looks of my report, I need something!

Hello Mark.

"TCP options string" is simply part of TCP packet headers. It is deciphered below in the same paragraph in the Analyzer results. Some of the bits advertise the size of the MSS, the size of the TCP Window, RWIN scaling, TTL, timestamps, SACK, etc. It is not useful without being deciphered, the Analyzer already does that for you though. There is nothing you should be doing with it.

The easiest way to optimize your connection is to simply use the "TCP Optimizer" program (from the downloads section), set it to your advertised internet speed, tick the "optimal" settings and apply the changes. It will cover all the basic tweaks for you.

Sorry guys I forgot I had this posted. Microsoft went ahead and issued me a brand new computer said there was other symptoms and problems with it so I got a new one. I will close this out. Thank you though.

The TCP Options string is just part of TCP headers that the Analyzer reads, no need to worry about it.

You also don't need to close the thread
