Video editting software?

Post by Lefty »

Do you guys know of any simple video editing software. I just want to cut out the first 15 minutes of the full speed missile firing shot. Safety only let me set up a video camera with the bridge approval so I had to work with the check in with the officer of the deck once set up so we got a lot of extra video on the shot. HELP!!!

I'd try Microsoft "Movie Maker".. It was part of Microsoft Essentials 2012, but is no longer supported by Microsoft (even though it works fine). You'd have to get it from a third-party site though, here is one link that has the setup file: https://www.winmoviemaker.com/

You only need "Movie Maker", not the rest of the apps. Of course there are other tools out there.

I like Movie Maker but it doesn't support MP4 files, bummer indeed.

I have been using this

I was going to also suggest Lightworks, but it is more complex. Thanks for posting that video link, some great choices I didn't know about... I'd try DaVinci Resolve if it didn't want me to register, hm... OpenShot looks cool.

avidemux is a good free opensource app for what you want to do:

No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.
