This is the fastest speed offered in my area and I'm forced to deal with it. The problem is, however, that my ping spikes a lot. It didn't always spike a lot, it just does it a lot more now. I used TCP/IP Optimizer and set the dial for 1mbps and clicked the Optimize bubble. That's the only real "optimization" I've done and I haven't really noticed a difference. I don't care about how fast I download something or how much I have to buffer a youtube video, all I care about is being able to play a game without ping spikes ruining my fun. Is there anything I can do to optimize my connection for low ping with game servers? A game I play a lot would be Team Fortress 2. I usually look for Chicago hosted servers because I live in Missouri and they tend to be the most stable.
I ran a Netalyzr test and the results can be found here: http://n1.netalyzr.icsi.berkeley.edu/re ... db-b24f/rd
