Merry Christmas !!!

Post by Russell »

Just wanted to pop in right quick and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Haven't been around much, but do sneak in from time to time and scan the posts. My wife's MS became bad enough that she had to quit working so we've been having a rough go of it lately. We were fortunate that she got approved for disability very quickly, however there is a mandatory 5 month waiting period before she starts receiving her payments. It's a struggle and very stressful and I certainly wouldn't wish it on even my worst of enemies. Even with all the downsides, we've managed to keep from losing anything, so I'm very thankful for that. Anyway, you guys take care and have a most awesome of holiday times with family and friends. Take nothing for granted and cherish every day!!! :)

Best of wishes to everyone :)

The misfortune is hitting lots of people this year...just do the best you can.

Personally, I'm wondering WTF, how much worse can it get?

Not to be a downer but worst Christmas ever for me.

Russell, thanks for the good thoughts, please wish your wife a merry Christmas from me

After 3 life threatening hospital admissions in Oct and Nov, you betcha!

Sorry to hear about your wifes condition deteriorating, but yes, it's' a blessing that you've been able to hold on to everything. I know a certain hospital that isn't going to be too happy with me, but my copays equal almost 8 months worth of my disability benefits, so either they can write some off or they'll be taking payments for years.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone here at SG!

Russell, I walked in your shoes about a decade ago. It was above a beyond one of the hardest times in my life, unfortunately things did not work out for the best and I was devastated. Thankfully and unexpectedly I was able to start my life over again. Don't give up or give in, tomorrow is another day if you are fortunate enough to have one!

Happy Holidays, BMED

Merry Xmas, to all my friends on SpeedGuide.
The last half year has been quite the test. Yet, this sweep below the line, puts into perspective how blessed my life has been so far.

be well,
david
