Lenses for a Cannon DSLR

I'm starting to look at the Cannon T2i. They are starting to drop in price so I'm starting to look a little closer (before they pull the model completely). I'm not looking to go crazy getting into photography again, but I would like a nice camera. With that said... who makes good compatible lenses for this model (will virtually anything bayonet mount fit?) and what 2 or 3 lenses would be handy? Should I first start with one of their kits or just get the body and buy my own lenses? Right now I'm just trying to get a handle on how much this is all going to cost me.

it has to be a "canon" mount,that's easy to find.

usually the "kit" lens,like the 18-55 is just mediocre IMO,I think it's better to buy just the body and then get some good lenses,and BTW,that t2i is a great camera.

I have 3 lenses
I love the Canon "L" series,it's top notch glass,very high quality
this is called a "walk around" lens,meaning it reaches from 24 to 105 mm,being able to capture most anything

I also have 2 Sigma lenses,I think sigma is a great line
I have this 30mm,which on a crop body is equivalent to what the human eye sees,(50mm on a film body)and the 1.4 is great in low light

and I have this 10-20mm super wide angle sigma lens,this is useful for getting very creative.

What focal lenths are you interested in? Zoom or Prime? Don't forget the 1.6 crop factor.

If you're looking at B&H, you can get the T2i with 18-55 kit lens for only $50 more than body only.

Lots of folks rave about the Tamron 17-50mm for crop Canon.

That's what's holding me back right now. I see that the camera is going for $749 with the 1 lens and thats close to my budget right now. I already have a small tripod and camera bag that will work and I'm not looking to go much deeper than that right now. Money's tight until the wife can find a job.
