Email to Microsoft, my question on privacy on Vista "Ready Boost" function.

Post by Shinobi »

Memorandum of Record 04-07-07
When I go into "My Computer" icon, then right click on my usb flash thumb drive, then, from the pop up menu, I left click to go into "Properties", then I select the "Ready Boost" tab, there is a link that says "Please read our privacy statement online". On the following page,
When I click on that link, then I click on the "Windows Vista Privacy Statment", There is not any listing or information of what kind of infomation that Microsoft gathers from using the "Ready Boost" Vista function:

Please explain.
Thank You.

I think in layman terms, the privacy statement is pretty well saying that you're information is going to be transferred to somewhere that is not your computer therefor it covers any liabilities if something were to somehow happen to your information on the other medium.

If you get this message and wonder wtf...I was wondering the same thing and searched Google and found this on like the fourth or fifth result.
