I finally broke down and jumped into the smartphone world this week. I picked up a Moto Atrix on Tuesday when it was released from AT&T. It's currently running Android 2.2.1 and overall I am quite pleased. The phone is extremely fast and the Android market is filled with lots of goodies. I have never modded/hacked on a phone before but I understand that 'rooting' the phone and installing certain programs will give the phone more advanced features and more control.
I swore that I would never get a phone without a slideout keyboard because the few touchscreen KB phones that I have played with were horribly laid out and clunky. This keyboard is laid out quite well and fits my hands just right so typing on it doesn't get to messy. Of course the Vlingo speech to text program works really good too.
Basic specs:
4" qHD screen (540x960)
NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H Dual Core (not even sure Android 2.2 takes advantage of both cores though)
1 gb ram
16 GB internal storage
HDMI out
fingerprint login
Motorola Atrix 4G
