Low Tech

Post by stu2 »

Sorry I have to ask this but it's necessary.
My sister lives out of town, she is on dial up, and high speed is not offered When someone sends an email with an attachment it ties it up for an hour or a few hours.
She has to call her provider support and get them to stop it and delete it.
This is nuts.
Is there anything she can do herself to stop it from downloading without calling provider.
TIA

she can log in via the ISP's site since many offer a way to view email through their site and online without downloading to a 3rd party mail client.

I have thunderbird set to ask me where I want to save the attachment so it doesnt start automatically, would think outlook would have this option as well.
